Develop a Vibrant Photographic Practice

The Art of Photography will introduce you to the medium of photography, furnishing you with the tools to work as a practicing photographer and the knowledge to engage critically with this multifaceted medium.

Each week, you’ll work independently to capture hundreds of images and develop your practice. You will learn how to use a camera, manage a workflow, edit your images, and build a sequence of photographs into a conceptual whole for presentation.

Learn From an Experienced Photo Artist & Yale Graduate

Award-winning instructor Joshua Tarplin holds degrees in Studio Art and History of Art with Distinction from Yale University.

Mr. Tarplin’s photo work has shown at galleries and museums worldwide, including Flower City Arts Center, Tbilisi Photography and Multimedia Museum, and Fotofestiwal Poland.

He has lectured at Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center and The Library Project of PhotoIreland. Sealegs, a recent book of his photographs and essays, was published in 2019.
