Our highly successful and effective SAT curriculum is designed to accomodate students' busy schedules during the school year. Each week, students take a full-length practice test and attend 4.5 hours of test review and lectures in Reading, Math & Writing.

College Application Workshop +

Start your college application early!

Students will learn how to write unique, memorable, and powerful personal essays. Teachers meet with students individually to brainstorm, outline, proofread, critique, and revise multiple drafts until each student has polished and compelling personal essays. In addition, students will get step-by-step college admission consultation including college selection, major selection, and resume preparation.

Elite’s famous SAT Boot Camp is a very demanding program designed for high school students of all levels who want to commit most of their summer to raising their SAT scores. Students take a weekly 4-hour practice test on Monday and attend 4 hours of test review and classes each day Tuesday through Friday, developing critical reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and math skills.

SAT 1500 Goal Program +

Summer Session: June 17 – August 9

An extremely rigorous 14-week course that requires many hours of out-of-class work and preparation, Elite’s 1500 Goal Program is designed for academically high-achieving students who want to round out their college applications with truly impressive test scores, as the minimum target score for this class is 1500. Enrollment is selective and based on minimum diagnostic test scores of 600 in Reading/Writing, and 650 in Math. This course includes a 4-hour practice test and 8 hours of test review and classroom instruction per week during the summer.

SSAT/HSPT Prep +

Summer Session: June 14 – August 3

All students applying to a private high school in the San Francisco Bay Area will have to take the SSAT (University High, Stuart Hall, Convent, Lick-Wilmerding, etc.) or the HSPT (St. Ignatius, Sacred Heart Cathedral). This course, modeled after our highly effective SAT prep courses, consists of eight weekly practice tests, an in-class test review, and lectures in Verbal, Quantitative, and Reading.

Reading & Writing Camp +

Summer Session: June 18 – August 9

Elite’s Critical Reading and Writing Camp utilizes contemporary works of literature in a classroom setting to hone vocabulary, critical reading skills, and grammar. Students will also practice writing in the three main nonfiction, academic genres: narrative, expository, and persuasive. Students will complete a book every 1.5 to 2 weeks, as well as analyze essays and other non-fiction texts.

Employing more than merely rote memorization, Elite’s Math Clinics are designed to help students master concepts and problem-solving techniques. Each class presents the principles appropriate to a specific math level in a clear format. The students then apply these math principles to exercises developed to sharpen problem-solving skills and reinforce understanding.
