Elite Perfect Again in Orange County
Photo Courtesy : Stephanie ChengStephanie Cheng set her alarm clock for 2 a.m. She had just gone to bed at midnight after finishing her Advanced Placement language homework, but sleep could wait – she had to check her SAT score.
The alarm went off. The Dana Hills High School junior went to wake up her parents. But they told her to go back to bed because they didn't want to wake up her 10-year-old brother that early. The plan was that the whole family would gather around the computer when she checked her scores. They would be her good-luck charm.
So the 16-year-old had to try to fall back asleep. She awoke at 5 a.m.
"Please, please, please can we look now?" she begged her parents.
They said OK, so the family of four gathered around her computer screen. There it was: 800, 800, 800, a perfect score.
