Jr. High and
High School Bound
High school students have the SAT to gauge their readiness for college, but there has been no test for junior high students to prepare for the rigor of high school and college prep courses — until now. The College Board recently introduced a new test: ReadiStep. This two hour test will be used to identify students who have the potential to enroll in college prep classes even before they get to high school. As a leader in the field of education, Elite and its ReadiPrep™ courses are designed to help students develop skills they will be tested on such as reading, writing, and mathematics. Students will master foundational concepts that will help them get ahead of their peers.
ReadiPrep™ - English
Elite's ReadiPrep™ - English class is based on the strong correlation between extensive reading and competency in all the verbal skills – critical reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar. If students start honing these skills at the junior high level, they will be miles ahead of the competition. Utilizing popular and educational works of literature, the ReadiPrep™ - English program will also focus on cultivating critical thinking skills. The extensive curriculum was designed to have students practice deeper reading. ReadiPrep™ - English goes beyond the traditional "book report" and will get students engaged in reading through activities with purpose, projects with content, and writing with power. The ReadiPrep™ - English program creates a learning environment in which students will gain all the necessary skills to succeed on the new ReadiStep test.
ReadiPrep™ - Math
Elite's ReadiPrep™ Advance - Math is designed to help students master the concepts and problem solving techniques in the Pre-Algebra to Algebra II sequence. Each class presents the principles appropriate to a specific math level in a clear, easy-to-understand format. The students then apply these math principles to carefully constructed word problems and exercises developed to sharpen problem-solving skills and reinforce conceptual understanding at the same time.

Whitney - Oxford - Troy High School Entrance Exam Prep
Whitney High School (Cerritos, CA), Oxford Academy (Cypress, CA), and Troy High School (Fullerton, CA) are college preparatory public high schools for grades 7-12. As highly selective institutions, these schools require students to take entrance exams in order to be considered for admission. Having worked with a number of alumni from these prestigious schools over the years, Elite is intimately acquainted with the admissions process at each institution, giving applicants an edge in negotiating the often daunting set of tasks required of prospective students.
The CELDT is a test administered to any K-12 student who speaks a language other than English at home. The CELDT identifies students who are English language learners, gauges their level of English proficiency, and measures their progress toward acquiring English proficiency. The CELDT, which is administered to English learners annually until they can demonstrate proficiency, consists of listening, speaking, reading, and writing components. Constantly working with students who often speak a language other than English at home, Elite has the perspective and resources to support students who are required to take these annual exams, propelling them toward English proficiency rapidly.
Every year, the Center for Talented Youth (CTY) at Johns Hopkins University holds national and international talent searches to discover and assess outstanding academic youth. The search for the “talented” is carried out by having students in middle school take challenging college admissions exams like the SAT or ACT. CTY candidates include gifted students from all over the U.S. and from over 110 countries. In order to be eligible, students must score in the 95th percentile or higher on one or more subtests of a nationally recognized standardized test. As a leader in test preparation, Elite can help your students qualify for this prestigious program by providing them the knowledge and test-taking skills to tackle admissions exams at an early age.
